Hooded Merganser - Pagham North Wall

With this bird reappearing I thought I had better go and have a look for insurance just in case it did ever get accepted! I was quite pleased by how it performed actually, snorkelling and fishing a lot and even coming up with a small crab.

As with all my birding...this bird will work on my simple rule! It was an escape until I had seen it, and now I have it is 100% wild ;-) It kept very distant and was surprisingly difficult to relocate if you took your eye off it. Apologies for the pants picture...I will put an arrow on it if people struggle to find anything that resembles a bird!
