Charleston Reedbed - Ringing

Goldcrest - Charleston Reedbed
Chiffchaff - Charleston Reedbed
The busiest morning's ringing I have had since I got my C permit and I was well chuffed with the amount of birds caught. There were hundreds, probably thousands of birds in the trapping area this morning which made for a very interesting mix of birds caught. The total for the morning was 216 new birds.

The total list of birds trapped and ringed is below:

Chiffchaff - 98
Meadow Pipit - 60
Blackcap - 30
Reed Bunting - 5
Goldcrest - 4
Song Thrush - 2
Greenfinch - 2
Dunnock - 2
Chaffinch - 2
Robin - 2
Sedge Warbler - 2
Blue Tit - 2
Reed Warbler - 1
Wren - 1
Kingfisher - 1
Whitethroat - 1
Goldfinch - 1
