Sunset at the Patch |
A pretty quiet evening at the patch but two birds made it a worthwhile visit. The first was a stunning Little Ringed Plover on the dam wall which was my first of the year on the patch, followed by another first for the year in the shape of a Green Sandpiper on the East Scrape. The following were the highlights of the full circuit:
Little Ringed Plover - 1
Green Sandpiper - 1
Swallow - 100+
Sand Martin - 5+
Reed Bunting - 2
