Sadly the best fence-line below the dam wall has been removed this week. I doubt a new one will be going up so it has taken most of the disturbance-free perches away which passage Whinchat, Wheatear and Redstart often use. On the bird front it was very quiet on the patch this evening with the only highlights below:
Cuckoo - 1
Swallow - 50+
