An early visit this morning produced very little and by no means any sign of anything spring-like but I will keep trying. It can't long before a Black-necked Grebe or Sand Martin rock up on the patch. The Sussex cattle have retuned to graze the land below the dam with the calves in tow which should piss up wader scrapes again but hey-ho!
Highlights below:
Red-throated Diver - 1
Gadwall - 2
Teal - 4
Wigeon - 1
Redwing - 1
Fieldfare - 2 (First birds in March this year after clearout in Feb)
Stock Dove - 1
