Charleston Reedbed

Stonechat

Stonechat

Stonechat
Another busy morning with 70 new birds ringed. Highlights were this stunning juvenile Stonechat which was a first for me and also 18 Sedge Warblers. The procession of Reed Warblers continued with another 26 caught this morning including two controls from Belgium and Britain respectively.

It also seems to have been a good year for several other species one of which is Garden Warbler and we have managed to catch a good number this year already. Although a plain looking bird they somehow have a quiet beauty somehow.
